A Presbyterian Church connected to a large scientific community
First Presbyterian is large PCUSA congregation located in Boulder, Colorado. Their project set out to identify scientists and science educators in the congregation, and to build a network of support, encounter, and education that would help them connect work and faith.
Furthermore, they sought to make connections with the larger scientific community in Boulder to provide dialogue and engagement between science and Christian faith. Their program included luncheons, field trips, adult education classes, and conferences. For an overview of these efforts, see the Science and Faith web page they created. After the completion of their project they identified the impact it had on their congregation.
